Procedure Business Visa

Visas are granted at a Dutch Embassy or Consulate.

The foreign national will need the following documents for his application:

  • A valid passport
  • Evidence to support the purpose of your visit, in this case proof of an established or intended business relationship (invitation letter from the company located in the Schengen area)
  • proof of employment (letter from employer)
  • Documents that show you have sufficient means of support for your stay, your onward journey, and/or your journey home (one or more pay-slips or one or more bank statements)
  • A return ticket (when the visa is issued)
  • Two passport photographs (2)

  The costs

An application fee has to be paid to the Dutch government. The visa must be paid for in local currency. In a limited number of exceptional circumstances (if the local currency cannot be converted), payment in another currency will be accepted. You are also required to pay the costs of additional expenses that may be incurred related to your visa application (faxing costs and the like).

The costs for the visas are:

  • Visa maximum one month EUR 25.
  • Visa maximum stay three months with one entry EUR 30.
  • Visa maximum stay three months with two or more entries EUR 35.
  • Visa multiple entries, validity one year EUR 50.
