West Brabant is a vigorous region with various metropolitan centres, a favourable labour market and an excellent infrastructure. A highly attractive residential and business area. We would like to clarify these three points further.
Labour market
The region has a relatively young, trained working population of more than 270,000 people. In addition, there is a labour potential of approximately 60,000 people. This is comprised of approximately 25,000 people from West Brabant who work in the southern Randstad urban conurbation. Many would prefer a job nearer their place of residence. A labour reservoir, therefore, from which new companies can successfully recruit their staff. Click here for more information about the labour market in West Brabant
Infrastructure
West Brabant is favourably located between Rotterdam and Antwerp (50 km). It is a short distance away from the airports of Amsterdam and Brussels (100 km) and has good accessibility with an excellent infrastructure by road (A16, A4, A58, A59), by water (Hollands Diep, Rijn-Schelde canal), via international railway connections and by air. But also large-scale pipeline connections and modern telecommunications facilities. Click here for more information about the infrastructure in West Brabant.
Combined residential and business area
With various woods (Wouwse Plantage, Rucphense Heide, Mastbosch), polders en nature conservation areas (Biesbosch en Kalmthoutse Heide), West Brabant boasts a splendid countryside. In the midst of this scenic landscape lies an alternating pattern of picturesque villages and clearly–arranged towns. Towns with a Burgundian background and characteristic identity and century-old fortified towns. It is a pleasure living and working here and passing one’s leisure hours in this part of the Netherlands, whether you enjoy woods, the heath or water. Not forgetting the close proximity of Antwerp, Rotterdam, the various amusement parks and the beaches in Zeeland. An additional advantage is that house prices in West Brabant are extremely reasonable, certainly when compared with the Randstad [the urban agglomeration of Western Holland]. |
