Municipality Roosendaal

The municipality of Roosendaal has almost 75,000 inhabitants and is the second town of  West Brabant. The town was known for many years as the border station on the international train connection between the Dutch Randstad and Belgium. By road Roosendaal is accessible via the A17 and the A58 motorways. These motorways have direct connections with the Borchwerf and Majoppeveld industrial estates. Both estates will be expanded in the foreseeable future, whereby the important employment function of Roosendaal will increase further. Although this is hardly bad at the moment, as is evident from the presence of GAP, Philips and Canon. For anyone wanting to relax, Roosendaal has more than adequate facilities on hand. There is a modern shopping centre with attractive possibilities for entertainment such as a visit to a performance in the theatre, De Kring. Roosendaal has a regional service function.
