Municipality Breda
Breda is the largest municipality in West Brabant and has more than 160,000 inhabitants. Breda is the cultural and educational centre in the region. This is evident, among other things, from the impressive Chasse Theater complex (2,500 seats) designed by the architect Herman Herzberger, and De Beyerd, the museum of modern art in the south-west of the Netherlands. Important teaching establishments are the Koninklijke Militaire Academie, the Hogere Hotelschool, Avans Hogeschool and the Nederlandse Hogeschool voor Verkeer en Toerisme.
Various large companies in the food, beverages and tobacco industries, such as Van Melle and Royal Cosun have opted for Breda.
The municipality is also known as the most important office location town in West Brabant. Various leading companies such as Esso, Polaroid, Amgen, Stimorol and Data General have established their Benelux head offices here. And with the shuttle link now in place with the High-Speed Railway Line and the development of the Spoorzone, Breda will become even more attractive as an office town! But there are also various possibilities for establishing a business on one of the business parks in Breda. For example on the Hoogeind or Steenakker business parks.
